I framed this one as well. And I love the blue against the orange wall.

Framed paper cut May 11, 2020 12:29

I’ve been experimenting with framing the new paper cuts I’ve made during lockdown and they can be secured by taping the cotton to the back of the mount board. It’s pictured here in a standard A4 frame.

More trays May 6, 2020 21:02

Continuing on the tray theme, I have couple left of Cardiff bay. They’ll have scarcity value as I’m currently not intending to have any more made.

Paper Cut at Night April 23, 2020 22:09

I was in my street clapping with my neighbours for the NHS this evening and we spent a while chatting afterwards - at a distance of course. I snapped a quick pic of my paper cut from the outside. The red and black look great at night as they are backlit with the light in the room and the white is more effective from outside in the day.

Making orders April 22, 2020 15:25

Making up orders in the sun today :)

Another day another wall April 21, 2020 21:27

I’ve patterned another wall of my house  . There’ll be no plain walls left by the end of the lock down!

Charity Paper Cuts April 20, 2020 17:32

I will donate 50% of the sale price of each of these to maggies. I feel so much for all the charities at the moment as their income must be so depleted. This is just a little bit it I hope it helps

Portrait Template April 19, 2020 21:09

This portrait is a simple design for a beginners paper cut, yet it’s bold and effective. It’s on my website and also as an instant download in my Etsy shop.

New Template April 17, 2020 16:51

Mural April 12, 2020 20:32

I’ve spent the bank holiday weekend finishing this mural on the wall of my house. It’s the garden room which in normal times we let out as accommodation via Airbnb

Bridget Riley January 26, 2020 14:10

I Went to London last weekend to see the Brigid Riley exhibition in the Hayward gallery. It was fantastic, well worth the trip. I’ve always loved her work - it looks so simple but is so clever. And to see them in the flesh and at scale was just fantastic. She works everything out meticulously beforehand and they had her sketches on display - like this one.

In Situ January 25, 2020 14:03

Here’s the mosaic collage in situ, with my etched glass vases and my gorgeous Ken Eardley plant pot.

Brighten a Dull Day January 24, 2020 13:14

It’s so grey here today. Everywhere I look is dull and damp. So, as an antidote this collage is cut out of the brightest papers I could find!

Thank You November 22, 2019 15:24

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our open house event  - artists and visitors alike. There was a lovely atmosphere with beautiful live harp music, poetry, gorgeous cakes, a bar, painted furniture, ceramics, woven textiles, glass, jewellery and fantastic artwork. Our next event is in July.

Gallery wall November 13, 2019 00:00

I'm planning on creating a gallery wall with all the artwork we have for the open house Christmas exhibition at the weekend. And it’ll look something like this

Artists November 12, 2019 00:00

I love this painting by James Donovan. He’ll be showing here this weekend

Archive November 11, 2019 00:00

These photos were taken at some of the exhibitions that we’ve had at the house over the last couple of years. I don’t want to jinx it but we’ve been so lucky to have had amazing weather each time we’ve opened our house so it’s been lovely to be able to use the garden

Personalisation November 9, 2019 00:00

The sandblasted vases can be personalised with initials and or a date on the base.

Curating November 8, 2019 00:00

The part I love most about doing these open house exhibitions is arranging the work on the walls and surfaces so that it looks beautifully balanced and the pieces complement each other. Here’s a pic of a trial set up of my collages.
