This is one of a new body of work that I am creating based on the silhouettes of flowers and leaves. It represents my take on nature and is colourful, joyful, simplistic, strong, graphic and stylised. It is inspired by a bed of wildflowers and I have reduced the imagery down to shapes whilst maintaining the movement and vitality of the flowers in their natural environment.
It is a cut out with collage and it’s a joy to be using blocks of colour having previously concentrated on the striking dynamic of black and white.

I’ve been experimenting with some new cut out work. I cut the shapes to use ina collage but I like the negative space. And I like the boldness and lack of detail!

We had amazing weather when we opened the house last year so we were able to put things outside and sit in the garden in the sun . It was a lovely event.

Ive just received some new printed fabric samples on a beautiful cotton linen. I think I’m going to use these to make Table runners and then decide what other products I’d like to make.

I’m opening my house on Saturday and Sunday 7th & 8th July as part of the Gower Open Studios event that happening all over Gower.
I’ll be here with new work and there will be Simone Robbins with her beautiful plants and Katie Allen with her stunning paintings and prints. Come and enjoy the artwork and the setting - it’s happening in my 1960s modernist bungalow and if the weather is good then you’ll be able to sit outside and enjoy the Sun around the outdoor swimming pool.

I’ve just taken delivery of these two tub chairs which have been upholstered in my Clouds fabric. They were second hand chairs, not much to look at, and they now make a great feature for any room.

Another example of a paper cut collage on a wooden block which doesn’t need framing. I also hand decorated the vase in the picture with special ceramic pens.

This is a paper cut which has been collaged onto a deep wooden block for a minimalist effect wshich doesn’t need framing. I also decorated the jug!

These are tin cans which have been covered with a print of one my designs on water and tear proof paper. I’m really into recycling and finding alternative uses for products in a stylish design-led rather than rustic way.

I'm excited to announce that I have been selected to work with Contrado, a UK based company that will print my designs onto homeware products and fabrics. They make all the products in their London workshop and there are over 300 to choose from. As yet I have uploaded about 10 to my store, but keep your eyes open for more to come.

I made this table top which consists of a white painted piece of mdf with hand cut black patterned stencils. It’s cut in 3 and has hinges do I can fold it up and put it away....it was only used at Xmas when there were 10 of us for lunch! It took me weeks to make...mad!

I have some paper cuts hanging in my windows at home. They've been there for quite a while and are surprisingly robust. I just love the patterned shadows they create when the sun streams through the window
